The Mahlkönig E64 WS Espresso Grinder brings Grind-by-Weight, electronic burr adjustment and Mahlkönig's connected Grind-by-Sync system into a grinder built specifically for the home. Each dose is weighed to 0.1g, while patented Disc Distance Detection measures the actual burr gap in microns, giving you repeatable control over both how much coffee you grind and how finely you grind it.
Weighed, Not Timed
Grind-by-Weight measures coffee as it reaches the portafilter rather than estimating the dose from how long the motor runs. Set the weight you want and the E64 WS grinds directly to that target with 0.1g accuracy, helping keep the dose consistent as coffee and grinding conditions change. Underneath, 64mm special steel flat burrs run at 1950 RPM with an average grinding capacity of approximately 2–3.5g/s, giving the home-sized grinder plenty of speed for an espresso workflow.
Adjustment Measured In Microns
Instead of a conventional mechanical adjustment collar, the E64 WS adjusts burr distance electronically. Mahlkönig's patented Disc Distance Detection measures the actual gap between the burrs in microns, so grind size becomes a measurable setting you can reproduce rather than a mark on a dial you have to remember. Zero calibration is also guided directly on screen without needing tools, making it easier to establish an accurate reference point for future adjustments.
Let The Grinder Correct The Grind
Grind-by-Sync takes that electronic adjustment a step further when the E64 WS is paired with a compatible espresso machine or Sync-enabled device. The system compares actual extraction time against the target in the recipe and can move the burrs finer or coarser when the shot begins drifting, effectively allowing the grinder to help maintain the dial-in for you. The Mahlkönig Sync app handles pairing and software updates while also providing access to grinder usage data from your phone.
